Mid Hudson Aikido is
located at the Bujinkan Tohoku Dojo, in
the Manchester Plaza on Manchester Road (Rte 55 on the East bound side of the Road) in
Poughkeepsie, New York.
From City of Poughkeepsie
Take
Rt 55 East towards Pawling. Pass Page Lumber. At the traffic light, turn right into Manchester Plaza.
From I-84 (Danbury/Newburgh)
Get off at exit 16N onto
the Taconic Parkway North. Stay on the Taconic until
you come to the exit for 55 West towards Poughkeepsie.
Stay on 55 for approximately 2-3 miles during which
time, you will pass Arlington High School, McDonalds,
and a Mobil gas station on the right. Continue on and
you will pass a second Mobil on the left and the LaGrange
Fire Department. About half mile down the road, you will see the Manchester Plaza on your left. Proceed to the next traffic light and turn into the plaza.
From Beacon/Wappinger's
Falls
If you are close to
I-84, get on 84 East and follow the directions above
from I-84. If you are closer to Route 9, take 9 North
through Wappinger's Falls, and Poughkeepsie until
you come to the area around the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
Take the exit (left side) for Church Street/ 44-55
East. Go a few miles through the city of Poughkeepsie.
You will
pass signs for Vassar College and a Midas muffler
place on the left. Shortly after, the road will split
to 44 (left lane) and 55 (right and center lane).
Take the exit for 55 east which you will be on for
a few miles. Go up the hill and continue on 55 until
you pass a Page Lumber and get in right lane. Make a right into the Manchester Plaza
From Albany
Take I-87 south to
exit 18. Take a right off the exit. You will be on
Route 299. Follow that until the light and make another
right onto 44/55 East towards the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
Continue on for a few miles until you see signs for
the bridge. Get in the right lane and cross the river
into the city of Poughkeepsie. Go straight and follow
the directions above from the City of Poughkeepsie.
